2010 Application Deadlines
The deadlines for each of the Fellowships will be announced later in 2010.
In order to be considered for the 2009 State Political Leaders Fellowship, applicants must fill out the online application by the respective date for each state program.

An application will not be considered until each of the steps in the online application are saved and the application is submitted in Step 5. A complete application must include all the required fields, including personal information, personal statements, and your resumes & references.
Check back here for an update on when you can expect to hear back about your application; however, it will be within 4-8 weeks of the deadline for each state.
CPL is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that recruits individuals who want to make a difference in their community, sector and/or state.
The selection process for each state Fellowship is based on the following criteria:

Enthusiasm for learning and improving their leadership skills

Proven leadership in creating positive change in their community

Commitment to pursuing a long-term career in political leadership

Clear understanding of their community and the issues they are committed to impacting

Interest in reshaping politics in their own community
All information you submit in your application will remain private and only shared with CPL staff and members of each state’s selection committee.
